Delivery & Returns
We are passionate about reducing single-use plastic and unnecessary packaging (and we expect that since you're shopping for reusable nappies you probably feel the same way). Where packaging is needed, your items will be packaged in recyclable paper / card where possible. We also try to reuse packaging as much as possible, such as boxes and bubble wrap that are in good condition.
Once we have received your order you will receive an email confirmation informing you that your goods are being parcelled up ready to go. If you are in urgent need of nappies, give us a call on 082 550 9768 and if we can dispatch sooner, we will.
Out of stock items
Should some of your items be out of stock we will contact you to notify you of when we expect them to be available. We will ask if you would prefer to wait until your whole order is ready before we dispatch or if you would like us to send what is in stock only. It is therefore really important that you give us full contact details, daytime telephone and email are best. We will never pass your details to any third parties.
Currently we deliver within South Africa only. For delivery abroad please contact us directly and we'll do our best to make an arrangement for you.

Once your order has been passed to our team, packed and ready to go you will receive another email telling you your goods have been dispatched. You can expect to receive your delivery within three working days for main centres, and within four working days for outlying areas. In practice most parcels to main centres arrive the next working day. Your tracking details will indicate your parcel's progress. If you are unsure please contact us.
If no-one is in to sign for the order, our courier will attempt re-delivery on the next working day. If there is still nobody in to receive the delivery the goods will be returned to us. We will then contact you to arrange re-delivery and there will be a charge for this.
Loss, damage & non-delivery
On the rare occasion a parcel gets lost in transit, we will resend the item once it has been confirmed lost by the courier. We will then pursue our loss with them. To support our claim we will require a letter from you stating non-delivery of your goods. If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful as a result of refusal at the delivery address, we will contact the customer to arrange re-delivery and in most instances charge a re-delivery fee to cover costs. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any security gate personnel are aware of expected deliveries.
Any order discrepancies must be reported within 48 hours of receiving your delivery. Any item which is damaged or faulty upon arrival, should be reported to us within seven days of receipt so that we may take the appropriate action. At The Nappy Emporium we are passionate about Customer Care and will deal with any problems which may arise on an individual basis and do our utmost to ensure customer satisfaction. We want all our customers to be happy!
We are confident that you will be delighted with your purchase from The Nappy Emporium; however, if for any reason you wish to send goods back you can be reassured that all returns are covered by the Consumer Protection Act. Your statutory rights are not affected.
So, you have changed your mind and want a refund…
Refunds can only be given if you have bought the nappies directly from The Nappy Emporium. Please note: Postage charges are not eligible for refund. Goods must be returned within 28 days of purchase date. They must be in original condition and packaging, unwashed and unused. It is the customer's responsibility to return the goods to The Nappy Emporium. Return postage is payable by the customer. Recorded delivery is advisable as The Nappy Emporium cannot be held responsible for goods going missing in the post.
Please note The Nappy Emporium will not refund goods that have been washed or used unless they are deemed to be faulty by us.
You have a fault with your nappies
Please contact us before sending any goods back to us. If we agree that the nappies are faulty and within guarantee we will give you a Return Goods Authorisation code. When sending goods back please quote this code and include a covering letter with your full contact details, details of the fault and your invoice number. However where able, please send a photo of the fault first to firstname.lastname@example.org as this may save you having to return items to us.
In general faults covers manufacturing faults in relation to fabric, fastenings, elastic and workmanship. This does not cover damage caused to the product by wear and tear or excessive laundering, for example using harsh stain removers, boil washing, continually tumble drying, adding vinegar or sodium bicarbonate to the wash. Excessive laundering can destroy elastic, make the fabric go bald, reduce the performance of your nappies, drastically reduce the lifespan and will render your guarantee void.
Some people are very keen to keep their nappies absolutely white or stain free. Please remember that the nappies are there to catch waste and over time they may become stained or discoloured, this is to be accepted and is not a fault.
Please call or email to discuss before returning faulty products as some suppliers ask for faulty items to go back directly to them and some suppliers only need to see a photo.
If we find the goods to be faulty they will be replaced wherever possible. Refunds will only be given if replacement stock is not available or a suitable alternative is not available.
We reserve the right to refuse returns or to charge you our fees and expenses if the product is received otherwise than in accordance with these requirements.
We have sent you the wrong stuff…
We are human and sometimes we do make mistakes. Please check your order and notify us of any discrepancies within 48 hours of delivery. Give us a call or drop us an email to email@example.com and we will decide which return option is best.
Reimbursing postage costs
If goods are returned as faulty but we find that they are not faulty, we reserve the right not to reimburse the postage. We will only reimburse reasonable postage charges, i.e. Postnet/Aramex charges. If in doubt please discuss this with us before you send your items to us.
Bam+Boo Baby product guarantee
Bam+Boo Baby guarantee the workmanship and materials in a properly cared for nappy for six months from the date of purchase. This warranty covers all components of the nappies including the snaps, hook & loop, lining, elastic and waterproofing. The warranty is extended to the original purchaser of the products only.
Except when caused by manufacturing or component defect, this guarantee does not cover leaking, nappy odour or normal wear/tear.
Warranty is void when:
- The washing instructions have not been followed.
- The nappy has been altered.
- Product was purchased through an unauthorized retailer or agent.
- Any of the following has been used in conjunction with the use/care of the product:
- Water temperatures exceeding 40°C
- A detergent containing additives (enzymes, brighteners, whiteners, dyes, perfumes, essential oils) or natural soap
- Fabric softeners
- Soaking or incorrect soiled nappy storage
- Any caustic substance
- Nappy rash cream without a liner to protect the nappy
